Published by The New England Animal Health Institute

The New England Animal Health Institute (NEAHI) is a non-profit organization with headquarters in Chester, VT. NEAHI was formed in March, 2001. The purpose of the Institute is to conduct educational and research programs on behalf of large animal companion and farm animal species. Research conducted by the Institute emphasizes a practical and humane approach to improving animal health care. The Institute also conducts educational programs for animal owners and veterinarians on a range of practical subjects.

Although the Institute is involved with research and education concerning all large animal species, special attention is given to those species that are currently growing in popularity and have heretofore received little research or educational attention. These species include the llama, alpaca, donkey, and draft horse. In addition to these educational pursuits, the Institute publishes this magazine, a periodic international journal for large animal owners and veterinarians.
