Rockin' Fiddle Ranch

I met Sylvia in Denver, Colorado back in 1952 on a radio show where we teamed up and formed an entertaining act, playing in night club lounges in Denver, Las Vegas and various nite clubs throughout Nevada and western Canada.

We retired from ""show business"" in 1986 and moved to Lincoln, Montana to develop our gold mine - The Big Blackfoot Mine. Soon we became interested in raising llamas. Our ranch is situated on 325 acres at 5000 feet, nestled in a beautiful valley boardering the Bob Marshal Wilderness, with the Big Blackfoot River running through it for 1 mile and the water is clean and pure where the fly fishing is GREAT.

When visiting other llama farms around the region, Sylvia and I have often wondered how the various llama ranches decided on their names. Ours was an easy and immediate decision. Since Sylvia plays keyboards and I play the fiddle, naming our ranch - The Rockin' Fiddle Ranch - just rolled off our tongues.

We began buying and raising llamas after meeting Fred and Pat Rowley, who themselves have been in the llama business for over 15 years. We are now pleased to have Fred as our ranch manager. With Fred's background and experience, our herd has grown to over 48 llamas with 10 babies due to hit the ground next spring. Whether you are coming out to this year's CLASSIC, visiting Montana or live around the corner, take the time to come up to Lincoln for a visit. We are just half way between Great Falls and Missoula on highway 200 (See Map). Give us a call first and stop by for a visit. Just listen for the music...you can't miss The Rockin' Fiddle and the Swinging' Organ!!! or seeing Lloves' Llovable Llama.
