LLAMA & BURRO PACK TRIPS

Your trek into Colorado's backcountry will be "no sweat" when you let our llamas and burros carry the load. Our daily hikes are usually no more than five hours, but you should be used to regular exercise. Since the only thing you carry is a water bottle, rain gear and camera, your hike is more enjoyable and you arrive in camp much less tired.

We offer three and five day trips. Cost of the three-day trip is $325 and the five-day trip is $540. We provide all the meals, snacks and wine. A $50 deposit will hold your reservation. Upon receipt of the deposit, we will send you a complete list of what to bring.

Our first trip will be July 3 - 5. Call, write, or send e-mail for more dates and information.

The Sangre de Cristo Wilderness Area is a range of spectacular peaks and alpine lakes. The Sangres lie about 55 miles south of Colorado Springs. We encourage you to meet with us the day before the trip leaves. We can take a look at your gear and begin arranging it for the first day's packing.

For a fee of $35 we can put you up in our tipi on Hardscrabble Creek. The fee includes dinner and breakfast cooked on a campfire. If you'd like more conventional lodging, we can direct you to a motel in nearby Florence, Colorado.
