Legendary Llamas at Meriwether Farms, a 100 acre farm nestled among rolling hills and lush green trees, is just 50 miles south of Atlanta, Georgia. Specializing in athletic animals and family pets, Meriwether Farms is home to over 50 registered llamas. Known throughout the Southeast as a highly respected breeding and training farm, Legendary Llamas at Meriwether Farms offers large-boned red leopard appaloosas, tuxedos, and much more! Crias (baby llamas) are available year round. Whether you are starting your own herd; looking for young crias as pets, cart-trained males, or a mature mother llama with baby at side, this farm is known for its ability to help you select the llama of your dreams. All of your basic questions will be answered, and the farm will remain your resource for follow-up llama support. Legendary Llamas is fortunate to serve as a field site classroom for students at Auburn University's Large Animal Veterinary School. Instructed by llama expert, Dr. David Pugh, students visit the farm on a regular basis to receive hands-on experience at a working llama farm. With blue ribbon winners from several southern state fairs and llama show competitions for single, double, and triple hitch cart driving, we have trained driving llamas available for you.
