Llamarada

Teaching Buckaroo to drive
Calico Jack, Buckaroo Banzai, and Razzle Dazzle

Llamarada is located about 70 miles west of the Washington, DC, area, about halfway between the towns of Warrenton and Culpeper. The countryside is rolling and great for llama raising -- they sure like bouncing up and down the hills. We are particularly interested in breeding for super dispositions and in training and showing llamas for work and performance classes.

Although we have "branched out" by adding a South American [Peruvian-Chilean-Bolivian] stud (PHL Austin City Lights) to our herd, we feel that the classic North American lines should continue to be maintained for the unique values they offer, compared to the type of llamas that have been imported from South America in recent years. We stand a large number of studs, mainly of classic North American stock.

We are very excited about the use of llamas for driving. This has been a real interest for us for years, and now we have fulfilled our dream, thanks to a driving system from Canada, the Chuck Jean Harness system (unfortunately no longer available).
