Bolivia's La Paz is a 1996 world class import. He is one of only 7 males offered for sale from among 17 select world class males imported in the 1996 Tillman's Llamas - Hacienda Acero Marka Bolivian importation. These 17 males are the only Bolivian males imported since 1991 and they were handpicked for quality by the Tillman's from the herd of Bolivia's award-winning Hacienda Acero Marka. In selecting La Paz, Andy and Cheryl Tillman closely examined both La Paz's sire and dam. Andy describes La Paz's mother as a beautiful, tall girl and says his father is so wonderfull that several of his offspring were included in the importation. La Paz is an outstanding Bolivian sire and has a super sweet disposition to match his name. He is tall, and large boned. His long, silky, high-luster black fleece flows down to his toes. His fleece is punctuated with a jaunty white "muffler" and stylish "shirt cuffs" that are appropriately placed only on his front ankles. He is stretchy and well-balanced and has a beautiful face with abundant ear and head wool. He has a flat top line and a confident stride with snappy action. His fleece has an average micron count of 21.8 with a standard deviation of 6.1; the a coefficient of variation is 28.0. His picture shows his fleece length in January of 1997 after he was completely shorn during importation in the summer of 1996. He is limited to only 10 select, outside breedings a year. We will have the first of his crias in 1998 out of our fine Bolivian imported dams.
